Chris Lisanti Hates You

This is Chris Lisanti doing what he does best.

Let me tell you about this guy. I met this crazy weirdo back in October of 2004. I was working at 3rd Ave Surf Shop trying to help the owner get the shop on its feet when it first opened. It was cool... kinda.. I showed up every day never even got paid... hhaha.. but that's ok.

At least I met this guy. One day I was in the shop stacking 55 million boxes of Emu boots and this chicken legged ass surfed out maniac comes in the shop and is talking about surf competitions and all this... and I've never seen the kid before... but apparently he's working with me now.. so that's cool.

He told me he was going for a surf... and I told him I was a photographer... so I said I'd meet him down there.. and shoot some photos.

I never shot surf in my life... just corny beach photos... And I'm all figuring that this kid sucks and loves to talk about surfing and how awesome it is like all the million other nj "surfers" I've met.

Well.. i get down to Sea Girt where it's him and his buddy Justin... I set up on the beach... they paddle out... and I see this kid take off for the first time...

He's a maniac. He surfed more on his first waves than I've ever surfed in my life... Doing things I didn't know existed.

So that was awesome... My photos of course came out sick... I mean.. he made it impossible to take a bad shot.

Then we were awesome friends.. I'd shoot him when he wanted.. and sometimes jump in the water to surf with him.. but I would always just feel like an embarrassment to surfing sitting next to him...

Aside from surfing... Chris and I started to skate like it was a bad drug addiction. We'd skate the sayreville bowl all the time.. all night into 2 in the morning sometimes... until we figured it out.

I can't say he "taught" me how to skate the bowl... but he definitely pushed me harder than anyone in my life to get where I am. I never ever in a million years thought I'd be able to skate a bowl like I can today... He made me want to go faster and higher all the time..

Even aside from surfing and skating and all this... We partied quite a few times... and that's always a memorable experience... If Lisanti shows up at your party... you might die. He's either gonna fight someone there... pull his junk out.. put a hole in your wall... or at least bring someone who's gonna body slam girls through tables...

Whatev. Bottom line is that this kid rules. He might come off like he hates you and everyone who ever lived... but he loves life.. as long as he's doing what he loves to do.

If your surfboard breaks... bring it to him.. he'll fix it perfectly.. trust me... dingsondemand.com

peace.

Lovenick
